They make it easy to use mobile eye tracking in shopper research, sports research, and media research, usability testing, and training and evaluation.

The Tobii Glasses system includes a pair of eye tracking Glasses, a Recording Assistant, IR markers, and the Tobii Studio analysis software.

Tobii Glasses

The eye tracking Glasses captures what the user sees and picks up user comments. They look and feel just like a regular pair of glasses, which means that they feel perfectly natural to respondents and avoid drawing the attention of fellow shoppers in the actual shopping environment. The ultra-lightweight construction and absence of distracting cameras or mirrors in the respondent’s field of view make the experience of wearing the glasses completely unobtrusive.

Recording Assistant

The Recording Assistant records the eye tracking data, sound, video, AOA snapshots, and the position of the IR markers, to a memory card. It guides you through the calibration of the users – securing reliability and removing subjective judgment – and shows information about eye tracking quality, battery life, etc. The pocket-sized device means that respondents are free from carrying bulky, heavy recording equipment.

IR markers

IR markers are used to define Areas of Analysis (AOA) around the research site. They communicate with the Tobii Glasses using invisible infrared light and enable the system to automatically keep track of multiple AOAs. The AOA-Track data mapping technology makes automatic data mapping and aggregation possible.

Tobii Studio analysis software

Tobii Studio provides time-saving analysis tools that allow efficient data aggregation from a large number of users. You can retrieve relevant statistics and create illustrative visualizations which can be copied and pasted into reports.
